It's Monday! What are You Reading? (9)

It's Monday! What are You Reading? is a meme run by J. Kaye's Book Blog which discusses which books will be read this week, and the ones that were read last week.

I have another two weeks to post about. But there's not much to tell.

Two weeks ago I read:
  • The Bleeding Violet by Dia Reeves (for OUaB - review goes live in Jan)
  • Started Curse the Dawn by Karen Chance (for I&P)
Last week I read:

  • Finished Curse the Dawn by Karen Chance (for I&P - review)
  • Girl, Aloud by Emily Gale (for OUaB - review)
  • Started When I Was Joe by Keren Chance (for OUaB)
This week, I hope to read:
  • Finish When I Was Joe by Keren Chance (for OUaB)
  • Start Wicked 2: Legacy & Spellbound by Nancy Holder & Debbie Viguié (for both)
I very much doubt I'll finish Wicked 2 this week, but I'll take it with me when I visit family for Christmas. I may get to read it Christmas Eve :) But I do hope to get When I was Joe read, and review ready to go live in January. What are you reading this week?

It's Monday! What are You Reading? (8)

It's Monday! What are You Reading? is a meme run by J. Kaye's Book Blog which discusses which books will be read this week, and the ones that were read last week.

Last week, I read:

  • Monster Republic by Ben Horton (for OUaB) - the review will be posted in January, but I can tell you right now that I absolutely LOVED it!
  • Prophecy of the Sister by Michelle Zink (for both) - brilliant! So, so good! You need to read this book!

This week, I plan to read:

  • Bleeding Violet by Dia Reeves (for both) - for review.
  • Kissed by an Angel by Elizabeth Chandler (for both) - for myself. This book is bloody massive, so I doubt I'll be able to fit another book in after it. I'm not even sure I'll finish it before the week is out, it's so big! IF I do...
  • Twilight by Stephenie Meyer (for both) - for myself. After seeing New Moon this weekend, I really need to read this series again, and perhaps I can review them this time!

Over the last few weeks I've been hitting reading what I've planned, so I'm quite happy. Though I would like to be able to fit more than two books into a week.

It's Monday! What are You Reading? (7)

It's Monday! What are You Reading? is a meme run by J. Kaye's Book Blog which discusses which books will be read this week, and the ones that were read last week.

Again, I missed doing this last week, so I'm doing this for two weeks:

Two weeks ago, I read:
  • Some Girls Bite by Chloe Neill (for I&P)
  • Frostbite by Richelle Mead (for both)
Last week I read:
  • Evermore by Alyson Noёl (for both)
  • Fade Out by Rachel Caine (for both - review posted in January next year)
This week I hope to read:
  • Monster Republic by Ben Horton (started on Sunday, for OUaB)
  • Prophecy of the Sister by Michelle Zink (for both)

I don't like that I'm a slow reader, but what can you do?

It's Monday! What are You Reading? (6)

It's Monday! What are You Reading? is a meme run by J. Kaye's Book Blog which discusses which books will be read this week, and the ones that were read last week.

Last week I read:

  • Wicked: Witch & Curse by Nancy Holder & Debbie Viguié - Curse (For both OUaB & I&P)
  • The Dresskeeper by Mary Naylus (For OUaB)
I didn't read Bite Marks by Terence Taylor as it was horror not fantasy, and I am a big wimp.

This week, I hope to read:
  • Some Girls Bite by Chloe Neill (for I&P)
  • Frostbite by Richelle Mead (for OUaB & I&P)

I started reading Some Girls Bite yesterday, so hopefully I'll be able to manage these two, and get another one in! How about you?

It's Monday! What are You Reading? (5)

It's Monday! What are You Reading? is a meme run by J. Kaye's Book Blog which discusses which books will be read this week, and the ones that were read last week.

It's been a few weeks since I did this, I'm sorry. A lot has been happening for me. So here is the last two weeks'.

Two weeks ago I read:

  • Ice by Sarah Beth Durst (For both OUaB & I&P)
Last week I read:
  • Wake by Lisa McMann (For both OUaB & I&P)
  • Wicked: Witch & Curse by Nancy Holder & Debbie Viguié - Witch (For both OUaB & I&P)

This week I'm hoping to read:

  • Wicked: Witch & Curse by Nancy Holder & Debbie Viguié - Curse (For both OUaB & I&P)
  • Bite Marks: A Vampire Testament by Terence Taylor (For I&P)
  • The Dresskeeper by Mary Naylus (For OUaB)
There's not much left for me to read with Curse, so hopefully I'll have that finished soon, and can get onto the other two.

As you can see, this post shows what I'll be reading despite the blog it will be posted on. I'm going to do it this way from now on, as I think it's a little waste to do two separate posts.

It's Monday! What are You Reading? (4)

It's Monday! What are You Reading? is a meme run by J. Kaye's Book Blog which discusses which books will be read this week, and the ones that were read last week.

Life things have been a little hectic lately, which is why there was no post last Monday. I haven't been able to read too many books either, unfortunately, but last week I read:
  • Fallen by Lauren Kate
  • Carpe Corpus by Rachel Caine

This week, I hope to read:

  • Beauty by Robin McKinley - Once Upon a Week (for Fairy Tale week, as mentioned in previous posts)
  • Graceling by Kristin Cashore

Fingers crossed that I get these read! What are you reading this week?

It's Monday, What Are You Reading? (3)

It's Monday! What are You Reading? is a meme run by J. Kaye's Book Blog which discusses which books will be read this week, and the ones that were read last week.

As I've been on holiday, I didn't post last Monday, so over the past two weeks, I have read the following YA novels:

  • Audrey, Wait! by Robin Benway
  • Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
  • City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
I read another too, but that was adult - and I have been on holiday, so four books is pretty good, I think. All of these books were awesome, but I especially loved City of Bones. It jumped right up there with my favourites. Can't wait to read the next book in the series!

As for what I'm reading this week, I'll have to update this post when I get home and get some more info. I'm thinking Graceling by Kristin Cashore, but I'm not sure if it's YA or not in the UK. Also The Stepsister Scheme in preparation for Vanessa of Today's Adventure's Fairy Tale Week, yet I don't know if it's YA or adult yet. If neither are YA, I'll look on my shelves for another YA to read. I'll let you know.

Check out my almost identical post on Ink and Paper.

So what are you reading this week?

Going on Holiday - Again!

I know, I know! This is my third holiday this year, but the opportunity has come up to go to Denmark and visit some family for two weeks, and I'd be mad to turn it down.

This means I will be away for two weeks from tomorrow. I should hopefully have some reviews for you when I get home. I'm taking Audrey, Wait! by Robin Benway, Vampire Academy by Richelle Read and City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. I hope to finish Rogue by Rachel Vincent today and get a review up hopefully late this evening (as I'm mentioning books, this is going to be today's post for "It's Monday! What Are You Reading? (2)").

Also, thanks to Jessica of Nayu's Reading Corner for sending me Changeling and Changeling: Dark Moon by Steve Feasey! You're awesome! (This is as there will be no IMM for a few weeks).

Hope you all have a great two weeks, and I shall see you all soon!

It's Monday! What are You Reading? (1)

So as Ink and Paper Specials has become a permanent YA blog - with a brand new name, Once Upon a Bookcase (and url http://onceuponabookcase.blogspot.com/), I thought I should get a few memes up on here!

So for the first one, I'm taking part in It's Monday! What are You Reading?, a meme run by J. Kaye's Book Blog which discusses which books will be read this week, and the ones that were read last week.

Last week I read an urban fantasy for Ink and Paper - I've been pretty busy lately, so it's taken me a while to read.

This week I hope to be reading:
Split by a Kiss by Luisa Plaja.

As I'm running two blogs that deal with different genres - with some crossovers - I'm aiming for a book for each blog, and because I'm pretty busy, I don't want to commit to too many.

What are you reading this week?
