Selena Blake Takes the UK Blog Tour: Selena on the 2012 Olympics

Today, Selena Blake Takes the UK Blog Tour is stopping by Once Upon a Bookcase! Selena is touring UK blogs to say "hey" to her British fans. Read on for Selena's thoughts on the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Stranded With a Cajun Werewolf by Selena BlankDid your hero make it to London?

Can you believe it's been four years since the Summer Olympics in Beijing? Neither can I. It was that summer that my first books came out. I got my first fan letter. Made my first dollar from publishing.

What an amazing four years it's been.

And that says nothing about all the training and preparation the Olympic hopefuls have been doing.

I'm not one who closely follows sports, but I know a few names that will be in London. Who can forget Michael Phelps? And I saw Hope Solo on Dancing with the Stars.

I'm more event based. This year I'm thinking I'll tune in to diving, gymnastics, sailing, and maybe even synchronized swimming.

In years past I've watched swimming, cycling, and equestrian events.

I find it impossible to watch pro sports without wondering about the players, the athletes' lives and relationships. Perhaps it’s the writer in me and my vivid imagination but as the announcers discuss the lives and struggles of the athletes, my mind starts weaving stories.

What about you? What sports will you watch? Did your hero make it to London? Is there an Olympic athlete that makes you swoon?

Selena Blake writes erotic paranormal and contemporary romance. First published in 2008, her series Stormy Weather has been on the best seller lists and nominated for awards.
