Top Ten Most Anticipated Releases For the Rest of 2015

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme run by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is Top Ten Most Anticipated Releases For the Rest of 2015.

Asking For It by Louise O'Neill Carry On by Rainbow Rowell Soundless by Richelle Mead

Asking For It by Louise O'Neill - Oh, you have no idea how excited I am for this book! I guess "excited" isn't the right word, I'm sure it's going to be a harrowing read, but Only Ever Yours was so bloody good, I can't wait to read this one for another exceptional story from O'Neill. (3rd Sept 2015)

Carry On by Rainbow Rowell - To be honest, I'm not so sure if I like the sound of this as a book. Fangirl is my least favorite of Rowell's stories, and I really wasn't a fan of the Simon and Baz scenes. But it's Rowell! I can't not read it. Because it's her, I'm excited. I'm just hoping, as it's Rowell writing as Rowell and not as Cath or the ficitional author I can't remember the name of, it's going to be better. Hope so! (8th Oct 2015)

Soundless by Richelle Mead - I am really excited for this! I loved Mead's YA series, so I'm excited for more of her YA! Plus it's based on Chinese mythology, so it's diverse fantasy! (10th Nov 2015)

Another Day by David Levithan What We Left Behind by Robin Talley The Stars Never Rise by Rachel Vincent

Another Day by David Levithan - Need I explain this? Let me repeat: David Levithan. Another Day! Companion to Every Day. No, I do not need to explain. (30th July 2015)

What We Left Behind by Robin Talley - Aah, how I loved Lies We Tell Ourselves! And this one has a genderfluid character! This will be the first book I've read that has such a character in a contemporary story. So looking forward to this! (22nd Oct 2015)

The Stars Never Rise by Rachel Vincent - Another YA series from Vincent! And this is high fantasy? Dystopian fantasy? I'm not sure. Technically it comes out this month, but... it's not out yet, so I'm counting it. (18th June 2015)

Fool's Assassin by Robin Hobb Cut Both Ways by Carrie Mesrobian Unforgiven by Lauren Kate

Fool's Assassin by Robin Hobb - This is finally coming out in paperback next month! I've been waiting for this for well over a year! I really want a physical copy, but the hardback is too cumbersome for me. But the Fitz and the Fool! SO. EXCITED! (16th July 2015)

Cut Both Ways by Carrie Mesrobian - I loved Sex and Violence by Mesrobian, so I'm really looking forward to reading this, about a bisexual character! (1st Sept 2015)

Unforgiven by Lauren Kate - Ok, so I might not have liked how the Fallen series ended with Rapture... but this book is Cam's story! And after reading an excerpt, I'm kind of sold. It's Cam! How can I resist? (10th November 2015)

George by Alex Gino

George by Alex Gino - A middle grade/young fiction story with a transgender character! This. Is. AWESOME! I need to read this nooow! Please? (25th Aug 2015)

What books are you looking forward to reading over the next six (or seven!) months?! Give me recs! :)

  2. So, like, I NEED THEM ALL. *hyperventilates with book love* I hadn't even heard of Louise O'Neill's new book until this week's prompt and now I'm seeing it everywhere AND I'M EXCITED. But also nervous. That book messed with my emotions so so much. I need go look up Fool's Assassin now, because I haven't heard of that one yet!

    1. I know, so many good books there! I am SO excited for Asking For It! Only Ever Yours was so powerful, Asking For It is going to be amazing too, I'm sure! There's been so much early praise for it already! But I am a little worried; having such high expectations for a book can be dangerous.

Oooh, Fool's Assassin is the first book in a trilogy, but that trilogy is the fifth series in the Realm of the Elderlings world. There are 13 books that come before it! So you might want to look up Assassin's Apprentice first! :)
