Weekly Gossip

Here is your bookish news from the past week.

First up, cover reveals. Simon and Schuster Children's Books have released the UK covers for Abbi Gline's Sea Breeze series - Because of Low, While it Lasts and Just for Now!

Because of Low by Abbi Glines

While it Lasts by Abbi Glines

Just For Now by Abbi Glines

What do we think? I am so excited to read these books, but I'm not quite sure about the covers. I think I would have preferred it if the objects were white rather than faint yellow/gold, but I guess it's supposed to be light, and light shines kind of yellowy. And they're very reminiscent of the Fifty Shades covers, with just objects on a dark cover. I'm never all that keen when the covers of books seem to jump on the cover bandwagon - the same happened when Twilight was doing well. I'll still read them, though! Also, for those slightly confused, these are books 2-4. S&S will be publishing book 1, Breath, but later in the year. If I remember rightly (I asked the publicist in an email, which has since been deleted), it was because it took longer to buy rights to, but don't quote me on that. The series doesn't have to be read in the order they were written though, as they are companion novels, about different characters.
