First Class Post

For review:

Pink by Lili Wilkinson - Goodreads / Amazon
Always Mackenzie by Kate Constable - Goodreads / Amazon
About a Girl by Joanne Horniman - Goodreads / Amazon
Don't you just love publicists? You go to them requesting a certain book for your upcoming LGBTQ YA Month, and not only are they happy to send you it, they know of a few others that would work perfectly and send you those as well! So three Aussie LGBTQ YA novels for July 2013! And they all sound amazing! Really looking forward to reading them!

Your Guide Through Her Breast Cancer Journey by Katherine Formosa Bown - Goodreads / Amazon
This isn't my usual read, and I know that it's not the kind of book my readers come to read reviews about. However, cancer, specifically breast cancer, is a subject I massively support raising awareness of, and I don't know what goes on in the personal lives of my readers. There might be someone reading who would benefit from this book. And it's for them that I accepted a review copy. I have already read this book, and you can read my review here.

What's Left of Me by Kat Zhang - Goodreads / Amazon
I now have a beautiful finished copy! SO looking forward to reading this, it sounds amazing!

The Shell House by Linda Newbery - Goodreads / Amazon
Kiss by Jacqueline Wilson - Goodreads / Amazon
A few other books for LGBTQ YA Month. Both sound very different, one light, the other serious. I'm looking forward to getting started on them.

Once Upon a Nightmare by McKelle George - Amazon
Twice Upon a Dream by McKelle George - Amazon
These are the first two e-novellas in the Morpheus series. They're self-published, and although I don't normally accept self-published novels, these books actually sound really intriguing! No links to Goodreads because they're not up on there yet.

Pantomime by Laura Lam - Goodreads / Amazon
Eee, I am so excited to read this book! I am unbelievably intrigued! And with the mention of the circus, I'm put to mind of The Night Circus by Erin Morgernstern. So now circuses make me excited, even though Pantomime, I'm sure, will be very different! This will be a 2013 YA debut.

Giveaways:

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime by Mark Haddon - Goodreads / Amazon
I've yet to read this, and since it has been raved about and sounds awesome, I thought it was about time I read it!

The Blue Afternoon by William Boyd - Goodreads / Amazon
A mate of mine is a fan of Boyd's, so I picked this up with him in mind. Shouldn't have really been photographed as it's not for me, but my mind wasn't on right at the time, obviously.

The Passage by Justin Cronin - Goodreads / Amazon
There has been a lot of buzz about this book, so I thought I would see what the fuss is all about.

Bought:

I also bought myself some new business cards! My other ones had Ink and Paper on them as well as Once Upon a Bookcase, and I also wanted them updated with my new domain. Pretty, huh? Vistaprint is awesome!

Thank you to Allen and Unwin, Katherine Formosa Bown, HarperCollins Children's Books, RHCP, McKelle George, and Strange Chemistry for the review copies.
