First Class Post

For review:

Stolen Night by Rebecca Maizel - Goodreads / Amazon
I've yet to read the first book, but this series sounds so good! I'm looking forward to getting stuck in!

Spark by Amy Kathleen Ryan - Goodreads / Amazon
Again, as above, yet to read the first book, but another awesome sounding series!

Insignia by S.J. Kincaid - Goodreads / Amazon
I've put this under review copies because it came from the publisher, but technically, it's a gift. I was sent an ARC of Insignia a number of months early to review and supply a quote to for the finished book and now it's been released, I've been sent a nice finished copy with my quote! You can read my review here.

Carnival of Souls by Melissa Marr - Goodreads / Amazon
I am SO excited to read this! I have yet to finish the Wicked Lovely series, but I do love Marr's writing, so I'm looking forward to giving this a go. In various ways, the premise makes me think of The Night Circus.

Alice in Zombieland by Gena Showalter - Goodreads / Amazon
How fun does this sound? So looking forward to giving it a go!

Runemarks by Joanne Harris - Goodreads / Amazon
I think I may already have this from when it was published last time. And Goodreads says I'm right. This particular edition isn't on Goodreads so my link goes to the copy I do have. I guess it's being republished for the publication of Runelight. Most people may not care, but Stephenie Meyer is quoted on the back saying it's much like the stories of David Eddings - I LOVE Eddings! So maybe I'll pick this up soon!

Bought:

Love, Aubrey by Suzanne LaFleur - Goodreads / Amazon
I've seen this on several blogs over a few years now, and so I finally bought it to give it a go. Already finished reading it, it's completely wonderful, and you can read my review here.

Fearless by Brigid Kemmerer - Goodreads / Amazon
The second Elemental prequel! Read it a few days ago, it was awesome! You can read my review here.

Free Amazon Ebooks:

Scars by Cheryl Rainfield - Goodreads / Amazon
I'm intrigued by this one. Looks like it might be a hard read, but a worthwhile one.

Crux by Moira Rogers - Goodreads / Amazon
Paranormal! The first book in a series. Might be something I will enjoy!

Les Misérables by Victor Hugo - Goodreads / Amazon
I LOVE the musical, so it will be awesome to read the book is was based on!

Bewitching the Werewolf by Caroline Hanson - Goodreads / Amazon
Paranormal short story that could be fun.

Thank you to Pan Macmillan, Hot Key Books, HarperCollins Children's Books, Mira Ink, and Black Swan for the review copies.

  6. Whoo! Sweet looking haul you have here! :) I think I'll have to pick up "Carnival of Souls" when it comes out. I didn't like "Wicked Lovely" but that was a while ago so maybe I'll find this one more appealing. o.o

    Happy reading! ^.^

    1. Thank you! I enjoyed Wicked Lovely, but was a little disappointed by the third book in the series, so haven't continued with it yet, but Carnival of Souls sounds good! Looking forward to giving it a go!

  8. SPICY INDIAN! MAN HANDS! Hehe, I absolutely LOVED Insignia!! One of my favourite reads this year. I stupidly missed your review, so I've bookmarked it to read later (don't have time this morning). SO flipping cool that you were quoted in it, congrats!!

Ooooh you have Carnival of Souls? Jealous! The WL series was great, so I'm eager to see more of Melissa.

Aice in Zombieland IS a lot of fun! There's a few moments I've groaned where the love interest is concerned, but it's all just so ENTERTAINING. I'm really enjoying it so far! And FEARLESS. EEEEEEE! LOVELOVELOVE. Mrs Kemmerer can honestly do no wrong :D

    FANTASTIC haul, Jo, happy reading!

    1. LOL! You know, It's been a wee while since I read Insignia, that it took me a few seconds to realise what you meant by spicy Indian. I was thinking, "Have I received a book about an Indian guy, and I don't realise it?" Haha!

Insignia was amazing! And thank you! Hope you enjoy the review when you read it! :)

Really looking forward to Carnival of Souls, it sounds so good!

Cool stuff, now looking forward to Alice in Zombieland even more! :) AND FEARLESS WAS AWESOME! I do love me some Elementals! :D

      Thanks, Brodie!
