Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor - Published in Paperback Today!

Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor PaperbackToday is 5th July. And you know what that means - paperback publication day for Laini Taylor's DAUGHTER OF SMOKE AND BONE!
And we have lots of exciting news to share...

Laini will be doing a live twitter interview for UK readers at 5.30pm TODAY so do get online at this time to ask her questions - and it would be great if you could encourage your followers to do the same! Laini will be taking over Hodder & Stoughton's official twitter feed @SmokeAndBone so that's where it's at.

Also, VERY excitingly, we are offering the chance to win an early proof copy of the next book in the trilogy DAYS OF BLOOD AND STARLIGHT (which we're publishing in November). All you have to do is tweet a 140 character review of Daughter of Smoke and Bone - just send it to @SmokeAndBone using the #smokeandbone hashtag, any time from now until this Sunday 8th July. Everyone who tweets a review will be in with a chance of winning a proof of the new book, and the tweets will also be included in online adverts, so you may well find yourself featured on sites like Glamour.com

And don't forget to check out our website http://www.daughterofsmokeandbone.co.uk/ which features an updated version of the trailer and offers you the chance to win a holiday to Prague! (don't say we don't spoil you...)

Have NO idea what DAUGHTER OF SMOKE AND BONE is about (where have you been?)? You're in luck! Read on for a description, and then head on over to my review.

Meet Karou. For seventeen years she has successfully managed to keep her two lives in balance. On the one hand, she is an art student in Prague; on the other, errand-girl to an inhuman creature who deals in wishes and is the closest thing she has to family. Her friends just think she’s kooky, but they don’t know the half of it… The beads of her necklace are no mere beads; her blue hair grows out of her head that colour; the monsters from her sketchbook are all real; and yes, those are bullet scars on her belly. The mysteries that surround Karou’s existence and have long tormented her are about to be laid bare… And the truth is more terrifying that she could have possibly imagined.

Laini Taylor’s exceptional novel — the first in an epic trilogy — is set to be one of the biggest paperbacks of the summer. It is a fiercely imaginative creation, unbounded by genre, and unlike anything else you’ll read this year. At its heart is Karou — an unforgettable heroine you’ll be rooting for every step of the way. Prepare to be mesmirised…

  2. I found your blog because I was looking for a blogger's review of The Night Circus (I have a gift card that I'm itching to use...but gift cards are precious and rare and I don't want to waste it!). Happily, I think I can safely use it on The Night Circus...only now...perhaps I should wait to find out what you have to say about Daughter of Smoke and Bone! Decisions...decisions.

    1. I think I prefer the cover for the hardback too. But the book is still amazing, so whatever format you read, don't let the cover put you off! :)
