For review:

Why We Broke Up by Daniel Handler (Art by Marira Kalman) - Goodreads / Amazon
A surprise review copy! I've seen this book on a few blogs and have been quite intrigued by it, so I'm really looking forward to reading it.

How to Save a Life by Sara Zarr - Goodreads / Amazon
This book sounds so good, but really depressing! I think this is going to be a hard read, but one that's worth it. Looking forward to giving it a go.

Whisper by Chrissie Keighery - Goodreads / Amazon
This book I am so excited to read! It sounds like a sad one, but from what I've read, also uplifting. It just sounds awesome! The publishers sent this with a pack of pocket tissues because there may be tears, and a Wispa chocolate bar because of the similar name and because who doesn't want chocolate when they're sad? Templar obviously knows me too well! Funny, the finished copy with the chocolate and tissues came the day before the proof arrived. How odd. This is the second book by the Aussie author, but her debut here in the UK.

Gifted:

Jar of The Great British Sweet Company Sweets
This came from HarperCollins Children's Books as a mini gift for those who took part in the Insurgent by Veronica Roth Blogger review contest as a thank you. Candor didn't win, but still, sweets! :) Thanks to Rosi for sending them over! Yum!

Thanks to HarperCollins Children's Books for the sweets and Electric Monkey, Usborne, and Templar for the review copies!

  3. Haha I kinda love that the publishers sent a box of tissues (and comfort chocolate!) alongside Whisper.... they understand reader needs perfectly :) And that is so sweet of Harper too! Seriously, how do publishers continue to wow us with their awesomeness? <3

Super excited for Whisper after your beautiful review and I've also heard a lot of great things about How To Save A Life (though it reminds of me the song by The Fray haha), so I can't wait to see what you think! Enjoy your haul!
