YA Bloggers Meet Up - The Details

There were a fair few people who mentioned their interest in a meet up for YA bloggers, and together we have sorted out the details for the event. Details:

At Waterstone's Piccadilly's Costa Coffee (down stairs).
203-206 Piccadilly,
Closest tube: Piccadilly
Saturday 15th May, 12 Noon.
People Coming:
Jo (me!) of Once Upon a Bookcase & Ink and Paper
Lynsey of Narratively Speaking
Sophie of So Many Books, So Little Time
Nayuleska of Nayu's Reading Corner
Lauren of I Was a Teenage Book Geek
Becky of The Bookette
Carly of Writing From the Tub
Sammee of I Want to Read That
Sarah of Sarah's Book Reviews
Cat - unpublishing YA author who blogs on This Counts as Writing, Right?
Keren David - YA author who blogs on Almost True

We may or may not decide, while there, to move somewhere for food, and some people may decide to move on to a pub a little later on. There is no end time for the event, we'll just leave when we leave, however we won't be out ridiculously late as a big group, as there are some people who have to travel a fair way to get home.

There are a number of people coming who don't live in London, so it seems a little silly to call it a London meet up - either way, if there are other bloggers in the UK who are interested in coming and are happy to come, please let us know! Again, any under 18s will need to have an adult come along, just for your safety.

  1. This sounds so awesome! Too bad I'm on the wrong side of the pond. :-D

  2. I'm still trying to come! I'm working on it...
Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful time!

  3. *is tempted to come along*

    Hmmm.... :)

  4. Stephanie - Aww, nevermind! Perhaps you could do something for where you live?

Luisa - Cheers! Oh, it would be great if you could come, but if not, no worries! Really, don't stress yourself out about it :)

Karan - Oh, if you can make it, it would be awesome! Have a think, and let us know! :)

  5. I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone!! I don't think I've visited all of these blogs before but I'm about to go and visit them all now :o)

I'll do a post about the meet up on my blog directing anyone who is interested in coming here Jo :o)

  6. It's going to be awesome! I'm so looking forward to it! It's going to be great meeting those I've not yet met, and those I met at the Headline event! It's going to be great!

  7. I am tempted to come along... Especially considering I practically live at Waterstones anyways! Can I get back to you a bit closer to the date?

  8. Sure, of course! It would be great to see you there! :D

  9. Wee I'm always @ Waterstone's Picadilly, it's a bus ride away from where I live! I really want to go and meet you guys but I'm uhm, I'm shy >.< Maybe I'll sneakily pass by then and take a peek at you lot :D

  10. Aww! You should come! We're all pretty cool people, really! I've met a few of the people coming at a publishing event before, and they're lovely people! I'm pretty shy too, but these are people we "know", and if not, we still share a love of books! Lots to talk about! But if not, it's all cool. You don't have to come :)

  11. Oh wow! It sounds really cool! I'd love to come, but I still don't know if I'll be working or not... Is it ok if I let you know in one or two weeks ?

  12. That's perfectly fine! It would be great to meet you!

  13. Ok I'm coming !! See you later ;-)

  14. Thanks for coming yesterday, Caroline! It was really great to meet you! :)
