CHALLENGE COMPLETE

12 read and reviewed on my blog, 2 read and not yet reviewed.

ETA: There has been some question about books released in 2010 that are read in 2009, with reviews posted in 2010 - I've asked Kristi about it, and she's updated her challenge info post, check it out. The following books do not count towards the challenge for me, but they are released in 2010, and so may be for you.

Books read in 2009, reviews posted in 2010:
When I was Jo by Keren David - published in the UK on 7th January 2010 (From Frances Lincoln)
Monster Republic by Ben Horton - published in the UK on 7th January 2010 (From Random House)
Bleeding Violet by Dia Reeves - published in the US (not released in the UK) on 5th January 2010 (Simon Pulse)

  2. You're able to do more than 12, it's just at least 12. I'll probably add more, but my memory is bad, lol.

  3. I hope you read them all ok! Would join in...but end up with enough books - safer not to specify genres :)

  9. Ahh, I didn't include you only because I think I'll probably get When I Was Joe read before next year, so I can have the review ready for January. Hmm. I'm going to do some asking of questions. Perhaps if I read books before 2010 it's ok if reviews are posted once January hits.

  10. Well I am a 2010 debut author! I think I should count..

  11. You do count. It's more about me and my reading pace; if I read all the books released in January by debut authors (which is two so far, including you) in January, given that I'm not the fastest reader, there is a chance I'll post the reviews late rather than before the release date. I think it's more important that the reviews are ready on time to help you than to read your book for the challenge, if that makes sense.

The challenge being for fun, it's not all that important, but me getting my review out on time is. So I'll read them before this year is out, write the reviews, and then schedule them for January. I don't think it'll count as part of the challenge as I'm reading them this year and not next. I've sent Kristi an email, asking whether they'll count or not; she's on a break at the moment, but once she's back and answered, I can let you know :)
