A competition for bloggers from Mira Ink:

Blog Ink Blogger Competition

MIRA Ink is launching a very exciting competition to find the next big star of the blogging world! We’re offering one incredible prize, a twelve month paid contract as our in-house book reviewing blogger AND a top of the range laptop or iPad.

‘How can I get Involved?’ you may be asking… Well, it all begins tomorrow when round one opens for entries. We’d LOVE you to enter and here’s how you do it:

1. Write a blog about a topic of your choice, as long as it’s no longer than 500 words and somehow related to books (it doesn’t have to be a straightforward review though)

2. Submit it via our Facebook App by the 25th November

Visit our Facebook app for the full competition details.

A top 10 will be announced on the 29th November – these people will go through to round 2 where they’ll be asked to make a 60 second video convincing us that they should be the BlogINK winner. (If you get through to round 2, we’ll tell you everything you need to know).

Exciting, huh? However, after reading the description and the T&Cs (all of which can be found on the Facebook app linked), I have decided this isn't the competition for me, but good luck to everyone else who enters!

News about Seven Stories:

Seven Stories Gains ‘National’ Accreditation

Seven Stories is to be officially known as the National Centre for Children’s Books, following approval by Arts Council England.

Seven Stories is the only accredited museum in the UK that specialises in children’s books. Since opening in 2005 the Centre, which is based in Newcastle upon Tyne, has gained a strong following in the North East, with its unique collection, exhibitions and learning programmes attracting national and international recognition and acclaim. The new name, ‘Seven Stories, National Centre for Children’s Books’ was approved by Arts Council England following rigorous assessment, as part of its UK wide responsibility for the museum Accreditation scheme. Seven Stories becomes the only museum in the North East with the word ‘National’ in its title.

  1. Wow. I'm super surprised at how different the Hysteria cover is from Fractured... it is book 2, right? I like it -- just surprised.

And WOW. That MIRA link is... that's an AMAZING opportunity! <3

    1. Um. I don't think it is book 2? I think it's completely different? But I'm not sure. They didn't sound similar to me.

It is! But I don't like videos, I don't like the idea of being interviewed by the media, and I don't use wordpress! Haha!
