First Class Post

For review:

Lovely, Dark and Deep by Amy McAmara - Goodreads / Amazon
Not only does this book sounds positively heart-wrenching and beautiful, just look at that cover! Oh my god, it is so, so beautiful. I'm not sure I've seen such a gorgeous cover before. It belongs in  a frame! I love it! I am so excited to read this, too! This is a 2012 YA debut.

Hysteria by Megan Miranda - Goodreads / Amazon
From Netgalley. I am SO intrigued by this book, it sounds so exciting and possibly freaky! Loving the sound of having a narrator you can't quite trust, because she doesn't even trust herself! I'm really looking forward to diving in!

Boneshaker by Cherie Priest - Goodreads / Amazon
Unsolicited review copy. I'm really not sure if this is my cup of tea, but I believe it's been raved about. Maybe I'll give it a go. We'll see.

Erebos by Ursula Porznanski - Goodreads / Amazon
I am SO intrigued by this book! It sounds so sinister! Really looking forward to it!

The Winds of Heaven by Judith Clarke - Goodreads / Amazon
This book just sounds awesome. The synopsis doesn't give much away, but that's why I'm excited!

Being Here by Barry Jonsberg - Goodreads / Amazon
I really love the sound of this book, and Leah sounds like such a great old lady! Looking forward to reading her story.

My Life and Other Catastrophes by Rowena Mohr - Goodreads / Amazon
Fun, that's what this book sounds like! I'm going to really enjoy this, I think!

Legacy of Kings by Celia Friedman - Goodreads / Amazon
Cold Days by Jim Butcher - Goodreads / Amazon
Out for Blood by Kristen Painter - Goodreads / Amazon
Trapped by Kevin Hearne - Goodreads / Amazon
These books are unsolicited review copies and won't be read as they are several books down the line of various series that I've not read.

Aralon by Patricia Briggs - Goodreads / Amazon
The Folly of the World by Jesse Bullington - Goodreads / Amazon
These unsolicited review copies are two of the novels that came in the parcel with the previous four. I may or may not read them. They're from the very beginning, so I can read them, at least. You never know, I may like them.

The Holders by Julianna Scott - Goodreads / Amazon
I do like the sound of this book! Really interested to find out more about the mysterious Holders and what sounds like a prophecy!

Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes - Goodreads / Amazon
From NetGalley. I haven't been reading much high fantasy in quite a long while, and this sounded interesting!

Thank you to S&S Children's Books, Bloomsbury, Tor UK, Allen & Unwin, Orbit, Strange Chemistry and Puffin for the review copies.

    1. By hard copy, do you mean hardback? Because it's not, it's a paperback. It's just a big book! But I'm really looking forward to reading it, it sounds so goo!

  4. HYSTERIA! I can't wait to see what you think of it! I thought Megan's debut novel, Fracture, was fantastic, so she's definitely an author I want to read more of.

    AND FALLING KINGDOMS!

Erebos sounds SO cool. And you're not wrong, the Lovely, Dark and Deep cover is STUNNING, JO. I so need that in my bookshelf!

    Another amazin haul, m'dear! ENJOY!

    1. I still have Fracture to read! I am so behind with so many books :( But Hysteria sounds amazing! It's going to be great!

I HAVE FALLING KINGDOMS! Except, not really. There were some issues with NetGalley and that book, the publishers are trying to sort it out. But still!

I know it's strange because they don't really sound alike at all, but Erebos keeps making me think of Cerebro, you know the thing Xavier uses in X-Men? Lol. But it does sound really good, I can't wait to see what it's all about.

Lovely, Dark, and Deep. I want to blow it up and still it on my wall, it's SO beautiful! :D

      Thanks, Brodie! :)

  5. my husband read Boneshaker and he liked it a lot, he said that is definitely leads you into the 2nd book but that the second book was hard to get through because it seemed like the setting was the only continuation....
Great Haul though! Hope you have a great week

    1. Thank you! I'm not really sure if Boneshaker is my cup of tea. Steampunk doesn't appeal to me, nor do zombies, so... :/ We'll see!
