--------------------------------------------------------------

Strange Chemistry have announced the acquisition of Cracked by Eliza Crewe, which will be published in November 2013.

Meet Meda. She eats people.

Well, technically, she eats their soul. But she totally promises to only go for people who deserve it. She’s special. It’s not her fault she enjoys it. She can’t help being a bad guy. Besides, what else can she do? Her mother was killed and it’s not like there are any other “soul-eaters” around to show her how to be different. That is, until the three men in suits show up.

They can do what she can do. They’re like her. Meda might finally have a chance to figure out what she is. The problem? They kind of want to kill her. Before they get the chance Meda is rescued by crusaders, members of an elite group dedicated to wiping out Meda’s kind. This is her chance! Play along with the “good guys” and she’ll finally figure out what, exactly, her “kind” is.

Be careful what you wish for. Playing capture the flag with her mortal enemies, babysitting a teenage boy with a hero complex, and avoiding a bad-ass cripple that doesn’t trust her are bad enough. But the Hunger is gaining on her.

The more she learns, the worse it gets. And when Meda uncovers a shocking secret about her mother, her past, and her destiny… she may finally give into it.

Wow, how AMAZING does that sound? I am so looking forward to reading it! You cna find out more by reading the press release.

    1. I knooow! They are really, really pretty, but the original cover was so different. But I love these covers too!

I actually checked with the publicist for the UK editions of Catastrophic History. I don't know about anywhere else, but this is the UK paperback cover. I actually wasn't the biggest fan of Catastrophic History. I found the main character, who's name I have forgotten, quite annoying.

Hahaha, you are funny, Sarah! Soulalicious! :D It does sound awesome, so looking forward to reading it! :)

  2. I AM SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO EXCITED FOR THROUGH THE EVER NIGHT.
    SO. SO. SO. SO.
UTNS is one of my favourite books! And ROOOOAARR. I can't wait for his novella. Except I KNOW I will want more afterward. The UK/AUS covers are gorgeous. I do still prefer the US, but at least we're given a visually beautiful alternative.

Oooh, cool how they switched the black to white for The Night Circus! Either way, it STILL looks gorgeous!

And Soul eaters? I AM SO THERE.

    1. See, I think of UtNS now, and I think "Ooooh, it was good!" Yet I seem to remember not being completely wowed at the time, and I can't remember why? Lol. Shall have to look up my review. But that makes me slightly worried for Roar and Liv and TtEN, even though I am excited! The covers are gorgeous, though, as pretty as they are, I'm not the biggest fan of the US ones. I don't know, covers just aren't too different these days. Le sigh.

It does! I do LOVE The Night Circus, and this cover is gorgeous! It's one of those books I just want to buy every edition of. It's ridiculous. Lol.

    1. I didn't LOVE Under the Never Sky, but I enjoyed it! Looking forward to the next books. The cover I have the Catastrophic History was of a girl falling through the sky upside down, but her body was kind of scattered across the cover.
