Diverse YA & MG 2017 UK Releases

I'm passionate about reading diverse books, so when a year comes to an end, I look forward to the lists of diverse titles that will be published the following year. But as someone living in the UK, it can be a little frustrating when you're excitedly looking through lists of diverse books being published, to discover a number of them aren't being published in the UK, as most tend to be US novels - making it a lot more difficult to get hold of the books without spending quite a bit. So, inspired by the lists that I see - like The Bookavid's Diversity Boost feature and the various diverse lists posted on the Barnes & Noble Teen Blog, as well as on sites like Diversity in YA - I have put together a list of diverse YA & MG books being published in the UK in 2017 (also including books published in the last few days of December 2016, because sometimes you just can't get to the bookshop, you know?)

At the beginning of each month, I will post with the books being published that month from all categories, so you can seek them out. But still check back on this post; I am not infallible, so I may not catch all books that are published in January, for example, by 1st Jan. Those I miss and discover after will still be added to this list.

This list is a work in progress; more titles will be added as I hear about them. If you know of any that you can't see, do please tweet me! All links go to Goodreads - those books without links aren't yet on Goodreads.

I hope this list will help fellow UK readers find diverse titles to read next year! Any questions, let me know!
