It's been a while since I read it, and there's only one scene that comes to mind - I don't believe the characters have sex, I think it's just passionate kissing and holding that leads to falling asleep together. I could be mis-remembering, but if so, it's never sex that we actually *see*. It's not graphic at all. I do believe that there are mentions of Scope and Yellow Guy's sexual relationship, but again, nothing too graphic.

I understand where you're coming from, there are certain books I wouldn't want to give to pre-teens. I personally don't think there's anything wrong with Coda, but you've got to be the judge of that. I'd say read the book first yourself, just to be on the safe side, and then make a decision. It's a fantastic book, so you might even enjoy it too :)Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02828378728962868575noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2381533012764037154.post-44631274731142830452013-07-16T04:05:01.991+01:002013-07-16T04:05:01.991+01:00My soon to be 11 year old son wants to read this b...My soon to be 11 year old son wants to read this book. I was unaware of the sexual content. I don't want him reading books with sex scenes at this age. Are there sex scenes? Heterosexual or homosexual, I don't care for my self. But neither is appropriate for a not yet middle school kid. Please let me know. Thank you!
