For review:

The Saga of Larten Crepsley: Birth of a Killer by Darren Shan - HarperCollins
I've not read any Darren Shan before, but this has vampires! I know some of his older books hwere about vampires, but they never crossed my radar. I'm intrigued to see what his writing is like.

The Weirdstone of Brisingamen by Alan Garner - HarperCollins
I received the paperback a few weeks ago, but I now have this beautiful 50th Anniversary hardback edition. This book sounds so good, and I'm really excited to read it!

The Replacement by Brenna Yovanoff - Simon & Schuster UK
How amazing does this book sound?! Fae and mysterious magical guy! I am sooo excited to read it, it's going to be amazing!

Gone by Lisa McMann - Simon & Schuster UK
I've not yet read Fade, but I really loved Wake, so I'm looking forward to finishing this series! Should be good!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J. K. Rowling (Signature Edition) - Bloomsbury
Yup, I have read all the Harry Potter books already. The Signature Editions are for the next generation of readers who didn't grow up with Harry Potter. And seeing as they're being released the same time as the next movie, Bloomsbury have sent out the last book to be looked at. It's better in the flesh than the pictures I've seen previously. I may end up reviewing these books one day. We'll see.

Angel by L. A. Weatherly - Usborn
I am so excited to have this book! It sounds sooo amazing, and I really can't wait to read it. Gots to love the angels! It also came with a sample, a flyer about the signing, and a bookmark.

Gifted:

Unbroken Connection by Angela Morrison - from Angela
You have no idea how happy I am to have this book! I absolutely loved Taken By Storm, the first book in the series, and I was amazed and awe-inspired to hear Angela was going to self-publish the second novel as things didn't work with the publisher of the first (See full story here). I already knew Angela was amazing, but she's even more amazing for sending me a copy of Unbroken Connection as I couldn't buy it from Amazon UK as it's having issues, and would cost me a bomb to buy from Amazon US. She is awesome! I've started to read it, and so far it's brilliant! She also signed it, including a lovely message, along with 8 signed bookmarks!

For Death & Bereavement in Teen Lit Month:

Sharing Sam by Katherine Applegate
It's thanks to Angela that I know about this book. A later edition has the same stock photo on the cover as her novel Sing Me to Sleep, which was mentioned on Facebook, along with another book. When I checked it out, I found out it would be PERFECT for my month! So I bought it, and it sounds amazing! Really looking forward to to reading it! :)

A Little Wanting Song by Cath Crowley
The lovely Luisa of Chicklish sent me her copy of this book to read for the month, because she's brilliant! I have read it and drafted my review already, and it's ready to post back. Simply amazing book, I loved it!

Slog's Dad by David Almond and Dave McKean - Walker
I didn't realise, but this is more of a kid's book that's close to a graphic novel without the "novel" length. Looks pretty cool though. I'm willing to give it a go even though it doesn't exactly fit. Thanks to Walker for sending me a backlist copy.

Won from Nayu's Reading Corner:

Shadow Gate & Traitor's Gate by Kate Elliot
Books 2 and 3 in a series. I won these books along with the first in a contest months back, but there have been posting issues - the post office can be annoying sometime. But these two are finally here! They will be reviewed on Ink and Paper.

And I also got sent the press release for Rules of Attraction with a quote from my review of Perfect Chemistry.

  1. I can really tell you liked Perfect Chemistry as much as I did. It's one of my favorite books of all times. I found a funny video about the book in YouTube.

It was made by the author. It’s really funny, but I was a little drawn back by Alex, cause he looks nothing like what I imagined him to be.
    Hope you enjoy it =)
